I am a Certified Professional Dog Trainer,  member of the; Association of Pet Dog TrainersPet Professional Guild and the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants. I have studied under Pat Miller, CPDT, CDBC, international known dog trainer and animal behaviorist and owned and operated The Cottage Small Dog Daycare and Boarding Kennel for 8 years.

My dogs have earned Canine Good Citizenship awards and Companion Dog Obedience titles.

What to expect at Providence Animal Center

Canine Good Citizen Class and Canine Good Citizen Test

CGC is a ten-skill training program that’s open to all dogs–purebred and mixed breed–that focuses on teaching the basics of good manners and obedience, instilling the values of responsible ownership, and strengthening the bond between you and your dog at home and out in the community. 

After mastering the ten skills, passing the CGC test together, and taking the Responsible Dog Ownership pledge, you and your pup will join the proud ranks of over 1 million dogs who have earned their Canine Good Citizen award.


Beginner Life Skills Class

This class is for PUPPIES AND ADULT DOGS 5+ MONTHS OLD and their parents to learn fundamental skills essential for lifelong success.

In this 4 week class we will cover how to best achieve crucial foundational behaviors such as sit, wait, leave it, name recognition, and how to curb unwanted behavior jumping. In addition, you will learn powerful tips and techniques to properly exercise your youngster’s mind and body through enrichment.


Intermediate Life Skills/Impulse Control

Does your dog already know the basics like sit, down, and maybe even paw, but needs help fine-tuning their over-excitement? Then this class is for you!

This class will help you and your dog further develop those already-learned basics into better behavior practices through impulse control. Areas that will be covered include: proper greetings, patience, settling, focus and more!
